Georgia Free Pre-K Program

The Georgia Free Pre-K Program is a state-lottery-funded educational initiative aimed at fostering essential skills and kindergarten readiness in four-year-olds. Running for 180 days a year, from August to June, the program offers 6.5 hours of daily instruction, Monday to Friday. Enrollment is voluntary, open to all Georgia residents, and does not have an income requirement; it’s a wonderful opportunity for young learners to embark on their educational journey.

Learning from parents is essential to early childhood development

When should I register?

Admission to our program operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage early registration to ensure you’re able to secure your child’s spot at your preferred school.  Each classroom has limited spots available and classrooms tend to fill up quickly before the school year begins. If your preferred school is full, we’ll be delighted to assist you in finding availability at a nearby location, and we recommend adding your name to our waiting list as opportunities may arise throughout the year.

Healthy Meals

Rest assured that your child will be served a nutritious and USDA-approved breakfast, lunch, and snack each day. Our team is ready to accommodate any special dietary needs your child may have, and we encourage you to discuss these with the school’s Director for personalized support.

What if I need care for a full day?

At Childcare Network, we understand that families may require extended care beyond the standard 6.5 hour Pre-K program. That’s why we offer wrap-around care program to provide additional support for families that need it. Parents can rest assured knowing that their children will have care available from the moment our doors open until it’s time to close for the day, right at their school location.
