About our Child Care & Preschool Center in Winston Salem
Hello, my name is Melissa Ashley and I am the center director at Childcare Network #299. I am bringing 10 years teachers experience as well as 2 years’ experience as a childcare director. I have an associate degree in Early Childhood Education as well as a Bachelors Degree of Arts in Education that I obtained from Catawba College. I also have a Masters Degree in Human Behavior. I believe in finding creative ways to teach children, as well as adults. It brings much joy and excitement to witness a child’s imagination blossom. I am the type of person you thinks outside of the box. I find it amazing that I learn as much from a child and their family, as they do from me. I look forward to continuing the growth and leadership at Childcare Network. My purpose is to make sure that all children are in a nurturing and safe environment. I provide staff with the skills they need for teaching children using developmentally appropriate practices. I will also create an open and warm environment for every person who walks in the door. My goal is that Childcare Network will continue to foster your needs, as well as opening new paths for future generations. I currently live in Davie County with my husband of 5 years (Robert) and three daughters, Kimberly who is 23 and Hannah who is 18 and Addison who is 4 and also a member of the Childcare Network family. My family is my pride and joy and I love spending time with them. When I am not spending time with my family, you can find me wrapped up in a blanket reading a good Nicholas Sparks book. The beach is my favorite vacation spot. While at the beach I love to go for long walks and collect seashells.
